Reestablishing Worship for the Outpouring of Glory

    I heard the Lord say:

“I am reestablishing worship to its rightful place for the outpouring of My Glory.”

He then took me to Amos 9:11-13–

“On that day I will raise up the tabernacle of David, which has fallen down, and repair its damages; I will raise up its ruins, and rebuild it as in the days of old; that they may possess the remnant of Edom, and all the Gentiles who are called by My name,” says the Lord who does this thing. “Behold, the days are coming,” says the Lord, “when the plowman shall overtake the reaper, and the treader of grapes him who sows seed; the mountains shall drip with sweet wine, and all the hills shall flow with it…”

I’ve been sitting with these verses and thinking about the movement of the Spirit of God today. There’s a real acceleration in His working within the church, especially as we approach Rosh Hashanah, the head of the new year according to the Jewish calendar (September 20, 2017).

The Lord has impressed upon me we are about to experience a powerful flow of the demonstration of His Power and Glory which is directly tied to the rebuilding of the tabernacle of David, the reestablishing of worship to its preeminent place in the church.

    Rebuilding the Tabernacle

God says He will raise up and rebuild the tabernacle of David “as in the days of old”. The ‘tabernacle of David’ represents access into the presence of the Lord through worship. The word ’Tabernacle’ is defined as a “dwelling place” or “house of worship.” It is also seen as, “a receptacle for the consecrated elements of the Eucharist.” That is really fascinating.

“A garden enclosed is my sister, my spouse”, speaks the Lover of His Beloved. She responds, “Awake, O north wind, and come, O south! Blow upon my garden, that its spices may flow out. Let my beloved come to his garden and eat its pleasant fruits.” The Lover responds, “I have come to my garden, my sister, my spouse; I have gathered my myrrh with my spice; I have eaten my honeycomb with my honey; I have drunk my wine with my milk.” (Song of Songs 4:12, 16 and 5:1 emphasis added)

We are the Garden of the Lord, His dwelling place. We are the ‘receptacle for the consecrated elements of the Eucharist’! In other words, through the Blood of the Lamb we are consecrated and are prophetically the Elements of the body and blood of Christ Jesus. Think of this—“Christ in you, the hope of glory” (Col. 1:27) is not merely theological doctrine but the reality of our true nature experienced in the Secret Place of Intimacy with God where the Flames of Love and the Waters of Life purify and cleanse every part of our being, where the Oil of Joy is poured out and New Wine flows freely, where the Fragrance of Heaven blows through our Garden captivating our senses.

Now If we combine this with the consistent revelation of Scripture that we are called to worship the Lord in and with the splendor of His majesty, then the rebuilding of the ‘tabernacle’ is the work of God within us not only making us a suitable place to house His Glorious Presence; but, awakening us to our song which rises to meet the Song of the Lord in a symphony of worship that fills the earth with His Glory.

This is called the Tabernacle of David because he understood this. He stands as the preeminent example of worship from the place of intimacy. He is called, “a man after God’s own heart” (Acts 13:22) and the songs we have of his resonate with the Sound of Heaven as strongly today as they did when he brought them forth from the deep well of his heart for God.

So, the Lord is taking us back to this place—as He says, “the days of old”. In this, He is pulling the past into the now obliterating the forms of worship that resonate with the earthly patterns of a religious system which has replaced the Presence of the Lord with the performance of man. We have embraced the form of worship while denying the power of worship…until now. As we embrace the call of God to go deep into His Presence and in the Secret Place begin to worship we come into agreement with His heart and a major shift takes place accelerating us forward into, what the Lord has shown me is—Miracle Praise. This is the worship that releases the Glory of the Lord.

Acceleration of the Outpouring of Glory

What the Lord says about the tabernacle is tied directly to the acceleration of the outpouring of His Glory.
He says, “Behold, the days are coming”— days of the demonstration of the Spirit and power that will bring forth an abundant harvest. The plowman overtaking the reaper, the treader of grapes the one who sows the seed—all this a picture of the acceleration of the working of God in and through us in the coming days. Worship that originates in and flows from the Presence of God demonstrates the Power of God.
The final picture shows what this power looks like — “the mountains shall drip with sweet wine, and all the hills shall flow with it”. There is an abundance of the Glory of the Lord that is the manifestation of Psalm 34:8:

“Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the man who trusts in Him!”

The Lord is reestablishing the preeminence of worship in the church. This worship will flow from deep within the Presence of the Lord. The atmosphere will resonate fully with the Song of the Lord and every form of disease and dis-ease will be destroyed. Healing, deliverance, salvation will be spontaneous as worship releases the sweet Wine of the Spirit. The last image of Amos 9:13 shows this atmosphere–the tangible manifestation of complete, abundant, joy filled sweetness of the Presence of our God.
