Matters of the Heart-Joseph, part 3

Joseph stood strong because he had embraced who he was in God, and who God was in him. How he would respond to the shock of finding Mary pregnant came from that deep well of intimate relationship with God; not from the place of his religious heritage or adherence.

Joseph was a ‘righteous’ man. His heart was ‘right’, his heart was pure. When it came to his actions, all flowed from his ‘right’, ‘pure’ heart.

It’s always that way. It’s a matter of heart.
