Created to Dream the Dreams of God

  
    I want to dream the dreams of God. The older I get the stronger this desire is becoming. “Retired” is not a word in my vocabulary. I am energized, excited and ready for new adventures in God’s Kingdom.

    There’s a call by Holy Spirit for the ‘Caleb’ generation to rise up and take hold of their inheritance, claiming the mountains, taking the high ground of God’s purposes for them and the generation that follows. (see Joshua 14:6-14) Holy Spirit is saying: “Now is the time to see the birthing of your dreams!”

The Dreams of God are Birthed and Rise on the Wings of High Praise

“O God, my heart is steadfast; I will sing and give praise, even with my glory. Awake lute and harp! I will awaken the dawn. I will praise You, O Lord, among the peoples, and I will sing praise to You among the nations.” (Psalm 108:1-3)

    Reading David’s words, one thing stands out to me–High Praise. David is focused on praise. Not just any kind; but, praise that has power to affect atmosphere, change landscapes, and call peoples and nations to God. The source of power for this kind of praise is rooted in the deep place of intimacy.

    I’m deeply moved by what David writes. He speaks of being “steadfast”. This word means: “established, set in place, made firm, secure, made ready, attached, make preparations.” It’s in the Secret Place where we make preparations. We prepare our soul to carry praise in our deepening union with God. Like Esther, who underwent a year of purifying and beautifying before her royal presentation (Esther, chapter 2), we also must yield and submit to the Spirit’s purifying and cleansing. This is a holy work of great beauty. It is a transforming work that opens the heavens before us–God is enthroned in the praises of His people (Psalm 22:3).

    The whole realm of God’s Kingdom, far beyond all we can ask for or imagine is available to us. The Secret Place of the Spirit is where the dreams of God are birthed and rise on the wings of High Praise. This is the praise that has power to awaken the dawn and pour forth glory among all peoples and nations.

    This is really BIG! Our tendency is to pull back from the awesomeness of this truth. Especially those of us who are of the Caleb generation. We believe a lie which tells us our day is past, we’re too old, or too insignificant. But, it’s not too late, we’re not too old or too small to dream the dreams of God. The Spirit of the Lord says: “Dream Big!”

The Creative Process Lives in the Realm of Dreams

    Just think of God’s dreams. Yes, God dreams. He is the Creator of all that exists. Creativity lives and moves in the realm of dream. There is an aspect of planning which certainly comes into play, setting in place the actions that make dreams a reality–BUT–plans do not create the abundant life of God, dreams do.

    The dreams of God are beyond measure and comprehension. They are as expansive as the universe and beyond. The creative flow of God’s dreams are clearly seen in the stunning, incomprehensible beauty and majesty of the Universe. And, God invites us to join Him.

“Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all we ask or think, according to the power that works in us.” (Ephesians 3:20)

    This is our reality, and is formed in the Secret Place of the Spirit, nurtured in the holy work of the Spirit, birthed and released in the power and glory of the Spirit–rising on the Sound of Praise.

    Now is the Time to See the Birthing of God’s Dreams

    All of us carry deep inside dreams. They’ve been with us since the very beginning. For many, it seems that time has passed us by. We may be feeling like we’re too old and too late. But, this is not so.

    We are in the greatest awakening earth has yet seen. God is bringing forth His sons upon this earth to release the greatness of His glory. A major component in this Awakening is the rising up of the Caleb Generation. These are the ‘seasoned sons’ of revelation and reformation who will step forward to take hold of a generational inheritance that will release signs, wonders and miracles which will bring about the greatest of all reformations–the New Pentecost, the fullness of God’s Glory.

    I hear the Spirit say: “You are allowing the world and its influences stifle your dreams. Your dreams are too small–enlarge the place of your tent. Stretch out the curtains of your dwellings. Do not spare: Lengthen the cords, and strengthen your stakes”

    “You shall expand if you do not hold back. You have waited in hope. You have labored in faith. Now is the time to see the birthing of your dreams”
