An Important Update

Dear Friends,

I feel I am overdue in updating you on what’s happening in my life and how it’s affecting our ministry.

Six months ago I felt a lump in my neck under the right ear. Like many, I waited feeling it was a temporary infection that would go away. It didn’t. It only grew larger, spreading down my neck and around the front near my larynx. Finally, the first of April, I had it checked. The doctor suspected it was cancer; and, ordered a battery of tests.

Thus began a two month journey of tests and procedures culminating in the removal of my right tonsil on May 18th. This biopsy confirmed Lymphoma.

The good news is that it is form that, although aggressive in people my age, responds well to treatment.

The hard news is that the treatment it not easy. I leave for the hospital in a little over an hour to have a ‘port-cath’ inserted into my chest; and, a three month period of chemotherapy begins on Monday with the possibility of radiation at the end of that period.

This also means that Taste of Manna has been put in a holding pattern during this time. It’s hard to try to set a calendar, schedule meetings when I don’t know how this is going to affect me over the next several months.

Now, I am very optimistic that God, even now, is perfecting a complete healing in my body. At the same time, there is a deepening strain upon me, and Donna (who is struggling with a chronic health issue of her own) to cover, not only our living expenses, but ever increasing medical bills.

Therefore, I am asking for your help at this time. First and foremost, that you stand with us in declaring and releasing the Blood-covered Healing Power of God upon both our bodies.
