A Shaking in High Places
   In a dream, I was in a rocky, barren wasteland and saw an “obelisk” rising from the ground. There was no activity that I’m aware of, just this “tower”, and it rose quite high. That was all, just a quick vision and I woke up. I looked up the word “obelisk”, and it’s: “an upright 4-sided, monolithic pillar that gradually tapers as it rises and terminates in a pyramid.” Interesting. As I thought about what I saw, I was drawn to Psalm 61:1-4:
“Hear my cry, O God; attend to my prayer. From the end of the earth I will cry to You, when my heart is overwhelmed; lead me to the rock that is higher than I. For You have been a shelter for me, a strong tower from the enemy. I will abide in Your tabernacle forever; I will trust in the shelter of Your wings.”
   I am reflecting on both the brief dream and these verses, and am seeing 2 things. First, there are the “high towers” in the land built by the “principalities, powers, rulers of the darkness of this age, spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places”—it is interesting that an obelisk terminates in a “pyramid”, a reminder of Egypt. The second thing is what David writes about God and his relationship to Him. God is a very real presence in David’s life, the place of his security, strength, and prosperity.
Now, as I’m thinking on this, I am beginning to hear the Lord say,
“Yes, there are many high towers in the land. For the enemy has sought to establish his own kingdom as an everlasting kingdom..one of domination, bondage, death. It is a wasteland wherever such high places are built..only desert places where there is no freedom, no abundant provision, no “life” as I, the Lord, give life. You know this, my children. You have felt the chains of the oppressor, the harsh task master of Egypt. You have tasted the bitter fruit of labors under the weight of bondage. This is a very real place even now, for the towers of the enemy are many in the land.”
“But,” says the Lord, “such towers are built upon sand. They will not stand. Even now, I am bringing them down with a terrible shaking. Even now, I am causing the sand under them to shift. They are swaying in the shaking, they are coming down. Even now, as I did to the Egyptian strongholds of the past, the Destroyer is moving in the midst of the enemy camp. Therefore, do not fear.”
I hear the Lord say, “Listen to My Word. When My servant David cried out, did I not hear? YES..and swiftly I came. And what did My right hand bring? I brought MY LEADING to the HIGH ROCK. I brought the POWER OF MY PRESENCE, My abiding place, My TABERNACLE. I brought My Sheltering Peace, under the wings of My Presence. Yes, to my servant David, I brought these things. And he was able to then move with power and authority as the agent of My Kingdom to accomplish many mighty things in My Name.”
“Therefore,” says the Lord, “If that was true for My servant David, how much more so for you? Trust in the shelter of My wings. Stand firm in your faith, Little Ones..for I have been pleased to GIVE YOU THE KINGDOM. For while all around you things are shaking, and the towers of powers are crumbling..you shall not be moved, you shall not be thrown down. Remember this and stand firm. For you have been set free, and I am LEADING YOU OUT with the spoils of the enemy. I am LEADING YOU OUT and you are plundering the enemy’s wealth. Stand firm, trust Me in these days and watch the destruction of all your foes.”
“These ARE days of great shaking. There is no mystery in that. The mystery, the wonder of wonders, is that while all around you is shaking–you are not. That is a terror in the heart of your adversary. For it is evidence of YOUR FAITH. And in such faith true abundance flows…….at this moment you may not see the wealth, which was stolen from you, in your hands–but, soon, very soon, you will. For the towers are coming down, and the wealth of nations is being REASSIGNED..Even now, it is coming.”
